Meet Erin Peacock, RSW MSW, Clinical Therapist
Welcome to my therapy practice.
I am Erin Peacock, a dedicated and intuitively motivated therapist with a diverse educational background and extensive experience working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. My journey as a therapist is deeply rooted in a commitment to support people to heal and grow. I strive to provide a safe and empathetic space that fosters personal development.
As a non-Indigenous clinician, I understand the critical importance of ongoing collaboration with Indigenous communities and elders to decolonize my practice. I position myself as an ally, valuing and respecting your experiences, and I endeavor to incorporate culturally sensitive approaches, especially when addressing issues such as addictions, trauma, intergenerational trauma, Residential School impacts, and PTSD.
I am humbled by every person that I work with, as it allows me to forge meaningful connections that catalyze personal growth and positive change. I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to nurture and learn from these connections, and it is a genuine pleasure to witness those whom I work with blossom and create their unique paths towards their desired outcomes.
Specialization in Somatic Experiencing
I have dedicated the past three years to studying Somatic Experiencing at the Institute of Somatic Experiencing, which serves as the primary modality in my practice. I also utilize a Person-Centered Approach, encouraging clients to reconnect with their true selves. This process often involves unlocking repressed memories, emotions, and behaviors shaped by childhood experiences and complex trauma.
My goal is to tailor therapy to meet you where you are, addressing your unique needs and helping to dismantle potential barriers to counseling. I believe that each individual is inherently resilient and possesses the strengths and wisdom necessary for healing.
Together, we will explore your experiences and challenges, facilitating personal growth and transformation as you navigate your healing journey. Through a collaborative approach I aim to empower you to regain control over your life and make informed choices.
I am a registered therapist through the British Columbia College of Social Workers and an active member of the British Columbia Association of Social Workers. These affiliations reflect my commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in my practice.
